Search Engine Submission
Old Fashioned Visibility
The first step to getting found on Google, Yahoo, or Bing involves telling them that your site exists. If you can't find your site in one of these engines, then it has to be submitted, then managed. Now that Bing has taken over Yahoo results, you only need to submit directly to Bing in order to see your site in both engines. The submission process is pretty simple. It involves going to each engine and telling it what your site is about, and where to find it.
To Submit to Google go to: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
To Submit to Bing and Yahoo go to: http://bing.com/webmaster
After Submission there is a lot more to know. Search engines base their formulas on how much information you have on your site, how good it is, and how many links are pointing at you. Therefore, you may want to see if a search optimization service can help you navigate the engines for your chosen product. In addition to search engine submission, you may also want to get into a card processing plan that gets you a discount on merchant services, such as Capital Processing Network.
